Music

I have busy late, so I have had not time to write. But now I have a while to type. I had a the start of a job interview. It only took 4 hours to get there and 1 hr of interview with management. It was nice the I was basically the only person interviewing that day, due to prior obligation, I had to come in a couple of days later with another guy. That guy could not only lasted 20 minutes, he could not do 36 sit-ups. So basically me and my "hopefully soon to be boss" got to spend 1 hour chatting while I took the test. He told me that 38 total people applied and 19 could not pass the sit-ups and of those, 7 qualified. Now I wait to see if they still want to continue.
I had to miss a day of work to drive the 8 hours round trip. (hell my lovely wife and wonderful MIL, went out of there way to buy me some Mirror Mirror Barleywine KICKASS). Which also happened to be the day of the staff meeting. Damn, I missed a staff meeting? Although it was a "great meeting", where management informed a 27 of the workers, that they may have to lay off 7 of them, due to budgets (hell we are only $300,000 over budget-last year$1.25 million over budget -no layoffs). So no one remembers the rest of what was said, because the sky is falling around. I spent the next two day talking to as many of the 27 as I could, just to hear what the hell is going on; ranging from "I'll show those assholes" to "better get my resume up to date."
good thing my supervisor got bent out of shape when I was looking for another job, before and after being screwed out of a job. HE said "I want to know you are going to stick around." Why? so I can be screwed over, laid off, or passed over again? Would you like me to grab my ankles?

In theory I have much better things to do. I have to order some hops to plant for the upcoming season, get the garden and lawn ready for spring, pick the next beer batch, and listen to the new cds I got (thanks honey:)
*Matisyahu - hasidic reggae= Now I am no usually up for religious music, but this is good music. It is good and different. I has soul, heart, and actual good music = check it out
*Johnny Cash - the best of = Great classic lyrics and music.

I also saw "WAR OF THE WORLDS", even though Tom Cruise is in it, still better than about 3 other movies (Stealth, Fantastic Four, Brothers Grimm). Good effects, although when one character leaves and it is tom cruise and dakota are left, I develop a advance case of "I hope they die."

I had to wait a long time before watching "War of the Worlds" - that image of Tom jumping on Oprah's couch was burned into my skull for too long.

I'd also forgotten that Tim Robbins was in it - he made the movie worth watching. :)

Good luck with all your interviewing, I hope everything goes your way!
