GoatRope

Goatrope - something time consuming with a lot of work and very little outcome. Also known as a clusterfrack. Closely related to civil matters.

Civil matters-example: husband and wife are getting a divorce. They own a house together. One calls the police on the other to say they are stealing property or trespassing at the house or harassing them. They are mad at each other and want the other person arrested when;
1-property belongs to both people (which requires a judgement)
2-the both own the property and you can't trespass on your own property
3-being a jerk is still the freedom of speech

Yesterday was a 3hr goatrope. Stolen cars.

#1 left cars on piece of property
#2 bought property
#2 request #1 remove items from property. #1 does nothing. #2 gets cars deemed as abandoned and therefore his property. #1 receives notice and doesn't remove cars until after the are deemed abandoned. Ongoing Civil matter involving letters from attorneys
#2 calls there are stolen and they at 2 different addresses. #2 faxes a copy of the attorney letter and judgement my office

#3 helped #1 move the car as favor, not knowing anything. returns the cars
#4 helped #1 move the car as favor, is also in a legal dispute with #2 and calls me a racist and wonders why I am the lap dog of #2. #4 states his attorney said to remove the property and has a letter. The letter only refers to barricades blocking access not cars. #4 states the department never helps him or responds, but put the car back.

#2 is notified all the cars are returned and civil matters need to be handled in court. please contact your attorney.

You need a flow chart for these situations - or something like the map on the bridge of Galactica, where they can move the little pieces around the board to lay the story out for you.

Goat rope - I like that phrase. :)
