Thanksgiving Recap

So Thanksgiving went pretty well, no major crap. My brother and his wife did not come down, even though it known that we were having it at our parents, his wife's father came up for the holiday, thanks for the heads up = IA I know she doesn't consider us important, but thanks for the blow off. So we won't get to see them for the rest of the year, they won't drive the 5 hours to see us. That is why we took there Xmas presents up this weekend, so my parents could transfer the presents. Then the sister-in law sent the email when are getting together for Xmas?

My wife and I had a good time, watching football and doing nothing with my parents. We had good food, although my mom's cooking is blah. She has decided over the years that spices are ...To spicy and the food while good lacks seasoning. I really have to lame my wife for using spices, so that my expectations have been raised. I also have to apologize for saying negative things about my moms cooking, but it is true.
My dad is losing his hearing and or attention span. I used to think he was being rude to people, you know not responding to people, but turns out he isn't paying attention.
example;
"hey, dad I had a fish like that in my tank"
no response. 2 minutes pass. "Hey, didn't you have a fish like that?"
"dad, I just said that."
"oh"
now repeat 30-50 times.
It rained, which is fun with the 5 dogs, who go after squirrels and like to root around for anything, so it takes 10 minutes to rub down the dogs and 3 towels.

Now on to Christmas!!!! got some of the boxes for xmas out!!

That Much Dirtier

There is a football pool at my work, something like 52 some odd people play each week. I put a buck in and try to pick a winner for all of the games for the weekend. I have one once every year I have played it and it is a fun to try to be the sports guy and get them right. Usually the winner has only gotten 2-3 wrong. This week I only got 1 wrong (my best so far and probable never get that close again), but some jackass got 0 wrong....How the hell did that happen? How did they know all 16 games?

Going to 31 this week, hopefully going on a brewery tour, followed by a pub crawl, well the adult version. Maybe a stroll instead of a crawl. First Deschutes Brewery, then I will have to hit the Bend Brewhouse, Deschutes, Cascade, and McMims. Death to my liver!

Did you ever take a shower and lather up so much that you lose the soap?
Just wondering.

We just had 3 days of rain, and I watched the leaves from the unrake lawns clogg the drains and create huge puddles. Then came the city de clogging the drain, throwing piles of leafs into the street. It so beautiful, people don't clean up after themselves and then complain about the how long it takes the city to "fix it".

d & d = the adult dork years

So wandering the internet taking various "what type of...." Quizs, in order to kill 5 minutes of my day and give myself a chuckle. (where else would I discover that my brother is Capt. Kirk and Chris is Jean-Luc Picard ). My wife discovers the "what d&d character are you quiz?", so i take it only to discover that (other than i maybe a dork) that I am a lawful good fighter. Oh the alleged despair and misery. Not since the tattoos, the piercing, the alleged terets syndrome, the mindless trouble of college (sure you can't have alcohol in the dorms, but there is something about sprinting down the hall with 4 cases of your friends home brew that say fun!). It can't be true maybe I am chaotic evil and I am just pretending to so that I can steal the most powerful magical item in the kingdom...but that is what the highly advanced internet quiz told me. It si also great to send it to old D&D buddies and find out "what they" are. recommend for those at work!
